A crowded Greer side of Dooley Field didn't get to see any football. A three-hour rain and lightning delay resulted in the game to be postponed until Saturday.

After a weather delay that lasted for nearly three hours, Friday night's game between Greer and Riverside was postponed until 7:30 p.m.Saturday.
The initial 30-minute lightning delay was called at 7 p.m. Friday. Lightning continued to flash and strike in the area throughout the evening.
Fans were asked to leave the stadium and both teams were held in the lockeroom during the worst of the weather.
A short but heavy rainstorm also drenched Dooley Field and a severe lightning strike knocked out the stadium lights at one point during the delay. The lights came back on about 30 minutes later, but when the final delay pushed kickoff well past 10 p.m., the game was postponed.
Greer (1-0) versus Riverside (0-1) is one of several games in the Upstate that will be played either Saturday or Monday this Labor Day weekend.
