Spring Game Format
At Dooley Field
Friday, May 30
5:30 p.m. – 25-Minute warmup – Pre-Practice & Two 5-minute Individual Periods
6 p.m. – Start of game
Both Teams will be on the home side of the field
Ball will be placed on the -30 yard line to start series
All Coaches must be behind the offense prior to start of a play
Officials will notify of delay of game infractions but will not penalize nor stop scrimmage
All other penalties will be marked in accordance with high school league rules
Offense has 4 downs to gain first down – Offense must decide whether to punt or go for it on 4th down (punt will not be live)
Officials will mark the ball where punt is fielded
Inside the +30 – Offense may decide to kick FG or go for it on 4th down – FG is not live
Play after TD will be a non-live PAT attempt
At end of series due to touchdown or FG, new series will start on the -30 yard line
Scrimmage is 4 12-minute running quarters. There will be a 15-minute halftime.
Both QBs will be in red jerseys. Two hand touch only on these two (quick whistle). Ball is dead where whistle is blown.
Scoring:
Offense
6 points = TD
1 point = PAT
3 points = FG
3 points – 3 consecutive 1st downs
Defense
4 points = Defensive stop -50
2 points = Defensive stop +50
6 points = Turnover -50
3 points = Turnover + 50
1 point = Hold to FG
