Asheley Jolley said she is going back to her passion of styling hair by turning the Pink Paisley into a salon. The store was a boutique in front and hair salon in the back.

“We’ll do some upgrading and remodeling,” Jolley said. “The décor will be a mix of shabby chic. It will be black and white with antique but very modern furnishings.”

The store is being renovated and expected to open by Nov. 1. But there is one thing that isn’t leaving the store. “The pink Volkswagen is staying. There’s no way that is leaving.” The half-car is a signature furnishing in the store.

The remainder of Pink Paisley’s inventory is being moved at 50 percent off.

“I had decided by Oktoberfest that I was going to work with hair only,” Jolley said. “Then I had a great Saturday. But it didn’t change my mind.” Jolley had wanted to dabble with a boutique business and hung on hoping her business would get an economic retail surge. “It was enough to pay the bills. But I’m going to do the salon only. It’s always been my passion.”

Jolley said she thought it was time to make a career business decision. “I don’t feel like I had the time to give myself to both.”

The salon has three hair stylists and a nail technician. Jolley expects to add two more stylists.

The salon’s hours will be 10 a.m. 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Call 801-1733 for more information.
