Leon Ferguson Few, a decedent of a signer of the United States Constitution, died Tuesday. He was 103.
Leon Few was a farmer, former prison superintendent, a local historian and grocery store owner. He was the oldest member of Fews Chapel United Methodist Church.
Leon Few is a decedent of William Few, (1748-1828), a U.S. Senator from Georgia, who was a signer of the Constitution in 1787. Eleven of the 13 states ratified the Constitution in 1787 or 1788 and all 13 had done so by 1990.
