The grocery store will be across from Riverside High School at the corner of Suber and Hammett Bridge Road.
Executives and city leaders will be among the invited guests for the ceremonial groundbreaking. Crews were clearing a path onsite Tuesday to accommodate the expected visitors.
A Lowes Foods spokesperson said Riverside High School administrators, teachers, staff and students are invited to the groundbreaking. The public is also invited.
