Mayor Rick Danner recognized the founders, Dr. Harvey Todd and Dr. Henry McLeskey, and current owners Hannon Wall Properties for their success maintaining a successful independent pharmacy that has served Greer area residents since the 1920s.
B.A. Bennett Insurance Agency, also celebrating its 90th anniversary, was the other recipient of the Mayor’s Award at the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce event.
Anne Marie Wall and Jed Wall were present for the presentation. Don Wall was out of town.
“We are so honored to be recognized for what we love doing everyday. We are extremely impressed with the event and love being a part of downtown Greer,” Anne Marie said.
“We really enjoy having the opportunity to be a part of the vision that city administrators have for downtown.”
The Wall’s commitment to Greer and its citizens was illustrated by the story of Allison Brockman.
Brockman was employed at McLeskey-Todd throughout high school as a pharmacy technician. After college Brockman was rehired and later was made a partner in the company.
“Thank you to all of our customers. They truly are the best customers out there."
