The annual Greer High spring football game turned out to be a 43-31 win for the Yellow Jackets offense Friday at Dooley Field.
The scrimmage pitted the offensive units, wearing black and gold, against the defensive units, wearing white and gold.
The offense picked up where it left off in its 2014 Region III-AAA championship season with rising seniors Mario Cusano (quarterback), Dorian Lindsey (wide receiver) and Adrian McGee (running back) leading the way.
The offense broke open a 20-20 halftime tie in the second half.
In the unique format, the offense was awarded touchdowns, field goals and extra points as normal, but also received a point for each first down if three were converted during a drive.
The defense was awarded four points for stops inside the opponents' 50-yard-line, two points for stops on the other side of the 50. Defensive touchdowns also counted.
