Keri Valentic Moore, a 2013 graduate of the Greenville Technical College Marketing program, was awarded the FM Rogers Student Leadership Award by the college’s division of Business and Public Service.
The award is named for former Dean FM Rogers and is presented annually to a student who has attained high academic standards and is actively involved in community service.
Moore graduated with a 3.9 GPA and worked full-time as a marketing team leader at Whole Foods while pursuing her degree.
Her community service activities included volunteering with the Greenville Humane Society, and “Building Dreams Bike Club”, a mentoring program that assists kids impacted by incarcerated family members. Kids are rewarded with a new bike for model behavior.
Moore organizes and directs the annual “Flicks for Thought” movie and speaker series on environmental topics at locations in Greenville. She also previously served with a missionary team in Thailand.
