The property will abut Greer State Bank at 871 S. Buncombe Road and across the McDonald’s on Hammett Bridge Road.
The church is requesting a variance for parking. The property is zoned C-2 (commercial district).
It's the second major project in the planning stages on Buncombe Road between Greer Memorial Hospital and Hwy. 14. Village Green, a $15 million, 88-bed assisted living complex, was announced by John Easterling of Pulliam Investment Company in June.
Perry Noble is the founding and senior pastor of the non-denominational NewSpring Church of South Carolina. The church averages 22,000 people during weekend services at its seven campuses – Greenville, Anderson, Charleston, Columbia, Florence, Greenwood and Spartanburg. A Clemson campus is also being discussed.
Greenville’s services are held at the TD Bank Convention Center.
