Dr. Anselmo Nuñez is the new Chief Executive Officer, at Bon Secours St. Francis Health System (Bon Secours Medical Group).

Nuñez said he is eager to begin. “The name of the Bon Secours Medical Group reflects quality physicians and practices and the mission of the health system. I am proud to join this prestigious organization and continue the good work and leadership of my future colleagues in providing outstanding primary and specialty healthcare to families in this area of South Carolina.”
Nuñez was most recently Senior Vice President, Medical Operations Specialty Division, Aurora Medical Group (AMG), Milwaukee, Wisc. He has also held a variety of senior executive positions at Providence Health Care (PHC) in Washington State and at Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin. Nuñez was also Chief, Division of Vascular Surgery and Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery, University of Miami School of Medicine Department of Surgery.
Some of Dr. Nuñez’ recent accomplishments include: Chair, Medical Group Leadership Council Physician Recruitment and Retention Committee Chair, Physician Recruitment Steering Committee where he was the senior physician leader in implementing the Medical Group physician recruitment strategy and led the re-structuring and redesigning of the physician recruitment function as well as the implementation of the surgical specialties management committee for Greater Milwaukee. Nuñez led the design of the PHC regional clinical programs and delivery system, coordinated strategic planning for clinical programs across the care continuum, and also led the development of the PHC collaboration with Group Health Cooperative (WA) to create Integrated Delivery System – Spokane.
