Alfred Emanuel Filiberto, 85, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2014 surrounded by his family.
A native of Jersey City, New Jersey, son of the late Alfred R. and Mary Pearson Filiberto, he was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired employee of Eaton Corporation, AIL Division after 37 years of service, and a member of Zoar United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Sandi Schum Filiberto of the home; two daughters, Cathie Armstrong (Keith) of Greer and Susan Lee Lynch (Brian) of Charlotte, North Carolina; two sons, Paul Filiberto (Dru) of Savannah, Georgia and Michael Gaasch of the home; a brother, Chuck Filiberto (Diane) of Rhode Island; a sister, Barbara Filiberto of Greer; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and his dog, Misty.
Mr. Filiberto was predeceased by his first wife, Marie Filiberto.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Zoar United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Robert Cox.
Visitation will be held after the service in the Family Life Center.
