Barry Nolan Bolding, 73, of 13 Beaufort Street, went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2013 at North Greenville Hospital.
A native of Lyman, son of the late Ralph Washington and Eva Rhodes Bolding, he was a graduate of Byrnes High School where he was an outstanding athlete, and a 1963 graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Industrial Management.
During his career he worked in manufacturing, sales, media and real estate. He was owner and operator of Bolding Real Estate for 25 years and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Bolding was a US Army Veteran Officer who served in Germany after college.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra "Sandy" Nix Bolding of the home; one son, Barry Shane Bolding and his wife Diana of Greenville; three daughters: Andi Bolding Hale and her husband Mark of Tyrone, GA, Suzanne Bolding Philipsen and her husband Jonathan, and Brigitte Barnett, all of Greenville; two sisters: Jane Bolding Crook of Inman and Ann Bolding Brown and her husband Ralph of Villa Rica, GA and ten grandchildren: Hannah Quick, Alex Quick, Dresden Day, Jenna Bolding, America Quick, Camden Day, John Walker Bolding, Braeden Hale, Gray Philipsen and Ava Philipsen.
Barry was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved the Lord and loved people. He was a good provider who took great pleasure in helping others. We are thankful for all the time we had with him.
He will be greatly missed and was loved by many. He is now experiencing peace and joy in heaven with God. Praise God.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Wood Mortuary, Greer, S.C. conducted by Rev. Mitchell Thomas.
Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Brown, Matthew Nix, Kip Felmet, Kris Felmet, Keith McMakin, Zack Nix and Steve Jones.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday at Wood Mortuary.
