Bob Mac Phillips, 86, widower of Carolyn Ballenger Phillips, died June 10, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
A native of Polk County, North Carolina, son of the late Luther and Pearl Adair Phillips, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a retired employee of Daniel Construction, and a member of Lyman First Baptist Church. He was a member of Tucapau Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are a daughter, Paula P. Beach of Lyman; two sons, Steven O. Phillips of Inman and Gordon B. Phillips (Linda) of Marion; three brothers, Everette Phillips of Lyman, Lewis Phillips of Mill Spring, North Carolina, and Glenn Phillips of Forest City, North Carolina; three sisters, Kathleen Tucker of Mill Spring, North Carolina, Ethel Trotter of Dallas, North Carolina, and Myrtle Smith of Greenville; and a special family friend, Mike Hughey.
Mr. Phillips was predeceased by three brothers, Clyde Phillips, Ernest Phillips, and Henry Phillips.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Scott Stancil. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary.
