Carolyn Boyd McKinney, 99, widow of Marshall Eugene "Red" McKinney, passed away September 30, 2017 at Brushy Creek Rehab and Healthcare.

A native of Chester County, she was a daughter of the late James Thompson Boyd and Celeste McKeown Boyd, a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church Greer.

Surviving:

Surviving are one daughter, Betsy M. Porter of Greer; one brother, S.A. Boyd of Chester; five grandchildren, W. Boyd McKinney, Jr., Ansley Porter Wright (Mike), M. Celeste McKinney Bracey (Mose), Keith Allen Porter, Jr. (Katie) and Carolyn E.F. McKinney and five great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by one son, Warren Boyd McKinney; one brother, James Boyd and one sister, Martha Boyd.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church of Greer, conducted by Rev. Dr. Brandi Casto-Waters and Dr. Steve Vance.

Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Boyd McKinney, Jr., Keith Porter, Jr., Mose Bracey, Mike Wright, Keith Porter, Sr., and Henley Olmert. Honorary escort will be the great-grandchildren, Rick Bracey, Kap Porter and Pearl Wright.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2017 at the home of Betsy M. Porter, 24 Shady Hollow Lane, Greer, SC 29651.
