Daniel Payton Leach, 81, died Thursday, March 14, 2013.

He lived most of his life in Greer, son of the late Daniel Payton Leach, Sr. and Viola Smith Leach Brewster, he was a retired Colonel from the National Guard, and a retired architect from Piedmont Architect & Engineering of Greenville, South Carolina.

Dan was involved in many professional and civic organizations throughout his life.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Kay Leach; one son and his wife, Pat and Lydia Leach; and one daughter and her husband, Victoria and William Boone; three brothers, Bob Leach of Greer, Ted Leach, Joe Leach both of Virginia, and seven grandchildren, Ashley, Daniel, Matthew, Allison Leach, and Lt. William Boone, David and Skyler Boone.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Michael Joe Harvell.

Burial will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park with full military rites.

Visitation will be held 12:45-1:45 p.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Saluda Senior Center, 64 Greenville Street, Saluda, North Carolina 28773.
