Curtis Willie Tucker, 77, of 2611 Tigerville Road, died May 23, 2013 at his home.
A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Wells Boyd and Pauline Knighton Tucker, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a Mason, a retired employee of Armstrong World Tile, and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Elsie Howard Tucker of the home; three daughters, Karla D. Lipham of Pass Christian, Mississippi; Angela E. Sunday of Pensacola, Florida, and Patty Champton of Crestview, Florida; three sons, Kenneth C. Tucker of Beulah, Florida, Jerry C. Champton, Jr. (Alma) of Bagdad, Florida, and Samuel P. Kimmons (Laura) of Holt, Florida; a brother, Ralph Tucker (Emma Lou) of Pensacola, Florida; fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A special thanks to Dorothy Moody for her compassion and care during Curtis?s sickness; to Jean Fritts, a sister he never had and Don Fritts who was like a brother (our dearest friends); to his nephew, Eddie Tucker, who gave all his love and support; a special granddaughter, Kimberly Kimmons ?Keep on making Papa proud?; and to all the rest of our special friends ?You know who you are?.
