Dan Edgar Beason, 71, died December 29, 2016 at his home.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late Clyde McCoy and Helen White Beason, he was a former employee of Ivey Electric, and was employed with Walmart Neighborhood Market.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of Washington Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Rose Driggers Beason of the home; one son, Lewis (Tony) A. Beason and his wife, Danielle of Boiling Springs; one daughter, Dana Greene and her husband Toy of Spartanburg; two brothers, Dr. Bill J. Beason of Boone, N.C. and Jerry Beason of Taylors; three sisters, Elizabeth "Libby" Cole of Greer, Linda Rowe of Inman and Joyce DeYoung of Greer; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Washington Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Drew Hines and Rev. Joe Price.

Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 1:00-2:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church.

The families are at their respective homes.
