David Alton McMakin, 74, died February 9, 2016.

A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Alton Edward and Bonnie Edna Penland McMakin, he was a retired employee of Reeves Brothers and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Fleming McMakin of the home; one son, Jonathan David McMakin (Elsa) of Marietta, SC; one daughter, Ashlie Caroline McMakin of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Jo Brooks of New York and two grandchildren, Helena McMakin and Alistair McMakin.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Holly Springs Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Tim Clark and Rev. Henry Stanford.

Visitation will be held after the service at Holly Springs Baptist Church.
