A native of California, son of the late Lawrence Hilliard and Geraldine McCrary Center, he was a welder.
Surviving are his wife, Janice Denise Hawkins Center of the home; two sons, Michael Center (Jesse) of Laurens and David Travis Center of Greer; two daughters, Casey Center of Greer and Leslie Center of Greenville and six grandchildren.
