Deborah Anne Leonard Young, 69, passed away March 19, 2024.

A native of Lyman, daughter of the late Lloyd Homer and Juanita Eubanks Leonard, she was a member of First Baptist Church Lyman. Debbie was a member of the James F. Byrnes High School graduating class of ?72 and she loved her Rebels fiercely.

She went on to pursue a career in nursing after graduating from the University of South Carolina-Spartanburg with an associate degree in nursing. She used her compassion to serve the people in the Spartanburg area for 30-plus years, with the last 22 years being at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Surviving:

Surviving are her husband, W. Cecil Young of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Young Morris (Chad) of Spartanburg and Amanda Lauren Young of Lyman; a brother, Richard L. Leonard (Katie) of Pineola, North Carolina; and two grandchildren, Graham and Reece.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at First Baptist Church Lyman conducted by Rev. Bill Morris. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Mike Leonard, Buddy Eubanks, Tommy Eubanks, Billy Eubanks, Griffin Eubanks, David Hicks, Brad Eubanks, Kenny Eubanks, Hal Eubanks, Eurrell Eubanks, and Larry Leonard.

Honorary escort will be The Branches Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church Lyman.

Visitation will be held 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the church.

The family is at the home.
