Dennis Bernard Dempsey, Sr., 74, passed away October 17, 2022.

A native of Spartanburg, son of the late Dean Daniel and Marie Burnett Dempsey, he was the owner of Dempsey's Lawn Service and member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Sue Wendt Dempsey of the home; one son, Dennis (Denny) Dempsey, Jr. (Dana) of Taylors; one daughter, Cynthia Dempsey of Greenville; two brothers, Donald Dempsey of Greenville and Marion Dempsey of Inman; one sister, Latricia Murray of Greenville; and two grandchildren, Parker Dempsey and McKellar Dempsey.

He was also predeceased by two brothers, John Dean Dempsey and Wayne Dempsey; one sister, Betty Bayne.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2022, at St. Matthew UMC, conducted by Rev. Kurt McPherson, Rev. Randy Smith, and Rev. Chrisie Reeves-Pendergrass.

Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held from 1 ? 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the church before the service.

The family is at the home.
