Doris Hipp Fowler, 89, widower of Newton "Junie" Oliver Fowler, died Friday, April 22, 2016, at her home.

A native of Spartanburg, daughter of the late John James and Lida Hendrix Hipp, a retired employee of Startex Mills, with over 40 years of service, and a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are a son, John Pearson (LaVue); a daughter, Linda Watson (Hugh), all of Greer; seven grandchildren, Charlene Lynn (Shannon), James Scruggs (Peggy), Angela Barrouk (Lester), Jay Pearson (Theresa), Hugh Watson, Jr. (Wendi), Lana Howard (Ronnie) and Daniel Custer; and seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Lynn, Katie Lynn, J.J. Pearson, Olivia Barrouk, Eli Barrouk, Juliet Pearson and Christopher Pearson.

She was predeceased by her first husband, John Carrel Pearson; two brothers, James L. Hipp and Geddes W. Hipp, and two sisters, Clara Price Batson and Margaret Hipp.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Sharon United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Bryson Williams.

Burial will follow in Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Lynn, Shannon Lynn, Joel Lynn, Hugh Watson, Jr., Lester Barrouk and Randall Fowler.

Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary.

The family will be at the home of the daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Hugh Watson.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Homestead Hospice for their loving care.
