Douglas "Doug" Glenn Durham, 75, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 8, 2021.
Born in Greenville, S.C., son of the late Otis and Esther Aiken Durham, he was a retiree of Fiber Industries Plant, where he was employed for many years.
Douglas was a Real Estate Broker and co-owner of Good Properties, LLC, a U.S. Army veteran, and was an Elder in the Upstate Restoration Church of Jesus Christ.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was loved by many.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia "Gin" Launius Durham of the home; two daughters Candi Hill and Amy Templeton both of Simpsonville; two grandsons, Lucas Black and Clay Templeton; one great-grandson, Leighton Black; and one sister, Norma Jean Henson of Irmo, S.C. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his late wife, Judy Brookshire Durham; one brother and one sister.
Private cryptside services will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, conducted by Elder Roger Vlieg and Elder Jim Power. The family respectfully requests that mask be worn and social distancing guidelines be observed.
The body will lie in state Monday, January 11, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The Wood Mortuary.
A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Doug?s name to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or Upstate Restoration Church of Jesus Christ, 106 Creighton Drive, Taylors, SC 29687.
