Edna Davis Henson, 92, widow of Rev. Wilson Henson, formerly of Taylors, passed away on August 6, 2019.
A native of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, daughter of the late Grant R. and Mary Burrell Davis, she was a retired employee of Judson and Monaghan Mills and a member of Praise Cathedral.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Smith of Taylors, Vickie Peace (Ken) of Greer and Brenda Warther of Florida; four sons, Curtis Henson (Kay) of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, Charles Henson (Lynn) of Chesnee, Kenneth Henson (Florabel) of Philippines and David Henson (Jerldean) of Travelers Rest: one brother, Jimmy Davis of Anderson; one sister, Francis Fowler of Newberry; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and special friends that were like a sister, Carolyn Burnett, Lavonia Ford and Suzanne Henson who she loved.
She was predeceased by one son, Daniel Henson, two grandsons, Ricky Peace and Christopher Henson, one great-granddaughter, Jessica Jones, two brothers, Walt Anderson and Grant Davis, Jr., and five sisters, Frances Johnson, Lillie Boswell, Loretta Lowe, Mabel Anderson and Dydemia Davis.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2019 at Praise Cathedral conducted by Pastor Jerry Madden and Pastor Bobby Johnson.
Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jason Henson, Curt Henson, Nathaniel Bowman, James Barr, Devin Henson, Colt Jones and Juan Gonzalez.
Honorary escort will be the senior adults of Praise Cathedral.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019 at The Wood Mortuary.
