Ernest Nathaniel Holbert, 81, passed away June 19, 2017.
A native of Madison County, Tennessee, son of the late Willie Ernest and Tressie McMurray Holbert, he was a U.S. Army Veteran during Peacetime and retired from United Parcel Service after 26 years.
He was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church, where he served as a former deacon and usher.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Patsy Belcher Holbert of the home; two sons, Scott Anthony Holbert (Kimberly K.) of Simpsonville and Jon Kevin Holbert (Casie) of Greer; two brothers, Robert Holbert of Fort Worth, Texas and Paul Holbert of Hammond, Louisiana; three sisters, Ramelle Sisco of California, Martha Graves of Medina, Tennessee and Genelle Patterson of Jackson, Tennessee; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Taylors First Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Jimmie Harley and Rev. Clyde Wright.
Burial will be private.
Honorary escorts will be the Bishop Wright Sunday School Class, UPS retirees and the ushers of Taylors First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held 1:30-2:45 p.m. Thursday at the church.
