Flora Lee Strickland Pierce, 89, widow of Marvin C. Perce, passed away February 12, 2019.

A native of Walker County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John and Vergie Almond Strickland; a retired employee of Stone Manufacturing and of the Baptist faith. Her first husband was the late Edmond "Ed" Wirchball, Sr.

Surviving:

Surviving are five children, Edmond Wirchball, Jr. (Trudy) of Union, Vernia Greene of Campobello, Martha Pruitt (Julian) of Greer, Wanda Sherbert (Terry) of Inman and Eddie Wirchball of Lyman ; three step-children, Brenda Hammer of Duncan, Charlotte Pierce of Lawrenceville, GA and Richard Pierce (Becky) of Belton, eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Stephen Pruitt.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2019, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Carrol Caldwell.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 12 noon until 1:45 pm. Thursday at the mortuary.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 260 Fairwinds Road, Landrum, SC 29356 or Greer Community Ministries, Post Office Box 1373, Greer, SC 29652.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the home of the daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Terry Sherbert.
