Gerald McCara Davis, 73, died March 16, 2016 at his home.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late Hoke McCara and Ruth Adams Davis, he was a retired employee of J.P. Stevens and The Wood Mortuary and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Gwen McCall Davis of the home; a son, Chad Edward Davis of Greer; a sister, Martha Ellen Davis of LaGrange, Georgia; and a granddaughter, Anna Elizabeth Davis.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Fairview Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Wilson Nelson, Rev. Daniel Waters and Dr. Eddie Leopard.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Andy West, Joe Stewart, Allan Fowler, Donnie Young, Carl Howell, Stan Hamilton and Chris Harvey.

Honorary escorts will be the Leon Fayonsky Sunday School Class, Greer Fire Department, employees of The Wood Mortuary, Wallace Sumner and Lem Dillard.

Visitation will be held 9:30-10:45 a.m. Friday at the church.

The family is at the home.
