James C. (Jim) Lindey, Jr., 76, of Duncan, widower of Sally J. Evans Lindey, died August 12, 2014 at his home, surrounded by loved ones.

A native of Butler, Pennsylvania, son of the late James C. Lindey, Sr. and Evelyn Bruner Lindey, he was the owner of Lindey Insurance Agency, a member of Middle Tyger Lions Club and of the Presbyterian faith.

Surviving:

Surviving are three daughters, Sue Jenkins (Charlie) of Spartanburg, Michelle Martindale (Keith) of Lyman and Sara Evans of Inman; two sons, Dennis Lindey (Tammy) of Tennessee and Douglas Lindey (Lisa) of Greer; two sisters, Sandra Thompson of Concord, North Carolina and Eileen Lemasters (Robert) of Landis, North Carolina; grandchildren, Kara Ramsey, Kyle Lindey, Linde Ammerman, Justin Jenkins, Megan Jenkins, Troy Jenkins, Chrystal Baker, Timothy Carter, Nikki Carter, Joshua Owen, Tiffany Getgasorn, Seth Martindale, Kane Martindale, Kyle Martindale and Ashley Frady; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and special friend, Linda Brady.

Mr. Lindey was predeceased by his brother, Gary Lindey and his grandson, Casey Shelton.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Ray Hatcher. Committal will be private.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary.

The families are at their respective homes.
