James Michael "Mike" Knighton, passed away September 15, 2021.

A native of Greenville, a son of the late Glenn Washington and Nellie Mae Hannon Knighton; he was a retired mechanic at Wal-Mart; a U.S. Marine veteran and a member of 4 Points Church.

Surviving:

Surviving at the time of his death are his wife, Jimmie Renee Evans Knighton of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Kelly (Tim) of the home and Kayla Chan (Sergio) of Simpsonville; one brother, Richard Knighton (Janice) of Travelers Rest and four grandchildren, Abbigale Kelly, Brianna Kelly, Carter Kelly and Elon Chan.

He was predeceased by two daughters, Amy Evans and Amanda Evans and one granddaughter, Kaide Kelly.

Funeral Services:

Due to the passing of our parents within 24 hours, a joint funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Chaplain Bryan Bailey.

Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary prior to the service.

The family is at the home.
