Rev. John Nelson J.N. "Mac" McFadden, 92, widower of Doris Evelyn McFadden, passed away on January 31, 2018.

J.N. and Evelyn ministered and entertained together over 70 years. J.N. started music ministry in Foley, AL. in 1943. His ministry included 19 area-wide evangelistic crusades and services at numerous churches in the Southeast, primarily in South Carolina.

He sang about Heaven his whole life and now he is singing in Heaven.

A native of Chester County, son of the late J.N. McFadden, Sr. and Mamie Keasler McFadden, he was a Minister of Music for 70 years, a U.S. WWII Navy Veteran and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are three sons, Rev. Larry McFadden (Teresa) of Orlando, FL., Rev. John McFadden (Debbie) of Greenwood and David McFadden of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. McFadden was predeceased by one daughter, Dorinda Lou McFadden.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Eddie Leopard, Dr. Carlisle Driggers and Dr. Randall Pennell.

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Honorary escort will be the J.N. McFadden Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary.
