Juanita Guthrie Rogers, 86, widow of Dr. Joseph M. Rogers, passed away January 31, 2018.

A native of Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Luther Guthrie, Sr. and Rosa Thackston Guthrie.

Mrs. Rogers received her Bachelor?s and MAT degrees from Converse College, was a retired school teacher for Greenville County Schools and a member of Greer First Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are four sons, Dr. Mark Rogers (Carolyn), Dr. Paul Rogers and Ben Rogers all of Greer and Dr. Tom Rogers (Kathy) of Hendersonville, North Carolina; a daughter, Rosemarie Vaughn of Greer; a daughter-in-law, Louise Rogers of Greer; one sister, Rose Pat Britton (Chuck) of Durham, North Carolina; nine grandchildren, Caleb Rogers (Paige), Kate Leggett (Taylor), Timothy Rogers, Jacob Rogers, Sarah Rogers, Seth Rogers, Emily Rogers, Garrett Vaughn and Noah Vaughn; and four great-grandchildren, Adelyn Rogers, Luke Rogers, William Leggett and Evelyn Leggett.

Mrs. Rogers was predeceased by one son, David Rogers, three brothers, Roger Guthrie, Luther Guthrie and John Guthrie, a sister, Mary Ann Mizzell and a grandson, Joshua Rogers.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Doug Mize and Mrs. Dottie Bryson.

Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.

The family wishes to thank Greer First Baptist Church, Pastor Doug Mize and Senior Adult Minister Dottie Bryson for the many acts of kindness shown to our mother.

In addition, the family wishes to express appreciation to Larry James and the members of the Baraca Senior Adult Class for the many years of fellowship our parents enjoyed with you.
