Judith Walker McElrath, wife of the late Bobby Lee McElrath, passed away on October 18, 2023.
Born October 21, 1936, to the late Paul and Helen Walker in Lyman. Judy was a retiree of Spartanburg School District Five and a lifelong member of First Baptist Lyman where she was a member of the Bethany Adult Women's Class.
While she was able, she was a member of the senior adult choir and Joy Fellowship. Judy was an avid traveler who delighted in frequent trips to the beach and the mountains.
Surviving are three daughters, Cheri Wofford of Moore, Kellie Burdette (Dennis) of Duncan, and Laurie Ferguson (Chip) of Moore; grandchildren, Adam Burdette (Mackenzie), Carly Phillips (Craig), Evan Adams (Kelli), Megan Burdette, Victoria Orellana (Joe), and Annalee Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Noah, Wyatt, Henry, and Mason Adams, Walker and Eliza Burdette, Davis and Annie Phillips, Iva Joe and Brooks Orellana, and Vivian Burdette. She is also survived by one sister, Debbie Oakley (Tony) of Taylors.
Mrs. McElrath was predeceased in death by her brother Norman Walker and son in-law Charner Wofford.
A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Lyman at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2023, conducted by Rev. Bill Morris. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Adam Burdette, Evan Adams, Walker Burdette, Craig Phillips, Joe Orellana, Noah Adams, and Davis Phillips.
Honorary escort will be the Bethany Adult Women's Sunday School Class of First Baptist Lyman.
Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:45 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the church.
The family is at their respective homes.
