Kenneth (Kenny) Paul Rogers, 69, died June 28, 2016 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. His strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family and friends carried him through until he received ultimate healing.
A native of Greer, he was the son of the late Paul and Hazel Rogers.
He was a graduate of Greer High School Class of 1965 and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He worked for 30 years at Spring Industries, was a retired employee of BMW and a member of Grace Baptist Church, Duncan.
Kenny was kind, soft-spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small and will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joyce Frady Rogers of the home; two daughters, Barbie Monroe and her husband, Rev. Danny Monroe of Cross Anchor and Missy Sudduth and her husband, Jeremy Sudduth of Greer; he grew up with three loving brothers; Jack Rogers (Janet) of Greer, Freddy Rogers (Tonda) of Taylors and Dr. Gary Rogers (Suzanne) of Gaffney. His greatest treasures in life were his grandchildren; Hannah and Austin Monroe and Addie and Seth Sudduth.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 1:00-2:45 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 760 Gap Creek Road, Duncan.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Grace Baptist Church, conducted by Reverend Danny Monroe and Dr. Gary Rogers.
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
