Louie Elwood Peeples, 87, passed away October 17, 2023.

A native of Jasper, Florida, son of the late Orten and Janie Nelson Peeples, he was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, a retired fireman for Miami Fire Department, and a member of Greer First Baptist Church.

Louie was generous to those around him whether he knew them or not. He was very involved in the church and always looked for ways to share the love of Christ.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Ellen Leckie Peeples; a daughter, Ann Wolverton (Shane) of Greer; and two grandchildren, Colten Wolverton and Bryn Wolverton.

He was predeceased by a sister, Reba Mayers.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023, at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Dr. Doug Mize. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held 9:45-10:45 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023, at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Ann Wolverton.
