Louise Dill Benson, 79, of 205 Lyman Lake Road, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, July 26, 2015 after an extended illness.
Born in Greer, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Pearline Hawkins Dill and a member of Victor United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Benson was a realtor with C. Dan Joyner in Greer, and joined her husband, Sonny in running the family business, Benson Furniture Company.
Louise will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her zealous love of life, and her passionate love of her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, William Strom "Sonny" Benson; her daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Rick Brant of Lexington; two granddaughters, Brooke Brant Phibbs (Bobby) of Irmo and Connelly Brant McCaskill (Mitch) of Lexington; two great-granddaughters, Branten Holman McCaskill and Ingram Marie Phibbs. She is also survived by a host of other family and friends.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Wood Mortuary with the Reverend Les Gardner officiating, assisted by David Crow.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Greer.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Tony Benson, David Crow, David West, Mitch McCaskill, Bobby Phibbs and Steve Hawkins.
The family is at the home, 205 Lyman Lake Road, Lyman, SC 29365.
The family would like to thank the staff of Carroll Campbell Place, Compassionate Care Hospice, Dr. Larry Gluck of the GHS Cancer Institute and Dr. John Cebe for their loving kindness and wonderful care given to Louise during her courageous battle with cancer.
