Virginia Mae Lynn Lanford, 99, widow of Carl M. Lanford, died January 1, 2016.
A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Samuel Greene and Martha Howell Lynn, she was a retired bookkeeper for Mac's Fuel Oil and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Surviving:
Surviving are one daughter, Jane Carpenter (Bob) of Taylors; two sons, Dick Lanford (Becky) of Lavonia, GA and Bob Lanford (Julie) of Flower Mound, TX; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services:
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Wilson Nelson and Dr. Tom Burns. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary escorts will be the Amazing Grace Sunday School class and the Mae Lanford Group, both of Fairview Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Baptist Church.
The families are at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund, or Lottie Moon Offering, 1300 Locust Hill Road, Greer, SC 29650, or charity of one?s choice.
