Margaret Smith Henson, 84, of 419 Mount Lebanon Church Road, widow of Maurice Bryan Henson, Sr., died August 30, 2014 at the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

A native of Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Grover L. and Sallie Burnett Smith, a retired employee of J.P. Stevens, and a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are two daughters, Elaine (Larry) Smith of Greer and Judy (Ron) Barbare of Greenville; a son, Rev. Maurice B. Henson, Jr. (Jo) of Marietta; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased also by a daughter, Kimberly D. Henson; a son, Donald Lee Henson; one sister, Jimmie Lou West; and one great-grandson.

Mrs. Henson was joined in heaven by her sister, Shelba Jean Hayes on August 31, 2014.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Mark Smith and Rev. Scott McAlister. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 12:30 ? 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

The family is at the home of a daughter, Elaine Smith, 423 Mount Lebanon Church Road, Greer, SC 29651.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jamie and Clay Smith, Erick and Ryan Barbare, Louie Flowers, Aaron Hudson, and Brad and Adrian Henson.

Honorary escort will be the Willing Workers and Open Heart Sunday School Classes.
