Marjorie Alison Smith Hughes, 87, of 1511 Old Anderson Mill Road, widow of Manley Hughes, died October 13, 2014 at Mary Black Hospital.
A native of England, daughter of the late George and Mary Stephens Smith, she was a homemaker and a member of Tyger River Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her children, Evelyn Mull (Dan) of Reidville, Edward Hughes (Sally) of Moore, William Hughes (Linda) of Duncan, Mike Hughes (Sandra) of Lyman, Susan Wingo (Randy) of Easley, Philip Hughes (Debora) of Wellford, Gary Hughes (Janice) of Pauline, Jerry Hughes (Debbie) of Roebuck and Lisa Hughes and her fiancé, Coy Callicott of Spartanburg; one sister, Nancy Pennock of England; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hughes was predeceased by one son, Maurice Hughes, a brother, and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Coy Callicott.
Burial will follow in Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 2:30-3:45 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary.
