Marvin Grey Weavil, 83, passed away September 1, 2018.

A native of Thomasville, NC, son of the late John Lee and Rosalee Donathan Weavil, he was a retired truck driver for Bi-Lo and SR Grading and was a member of Apalache Baptist Church, where he was known as the Candy Man.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Jane Lamonds Weavil of the home; one son, Bryan Douglas "Doug" Weavil of Mauldin; one sister, Jacqueline Limbaugh of Spanaway, Washington; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was also predeceased by one son, Darryl Grey Weavil.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 3, 2018 at Apalache Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Butch Howard and Rev. Jim Carpenter.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Honorary escort will be the Men?s Sunday School Class of Apalache Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Monday at the church.

The family is at the home.
