Mary Alice Poole Brown, 90, of 441 Clement Loop Road, widow of James Leroy Brown, died April 13, 2015 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late James Dean and Lucile Donnan Poole, she was a proud graduate of Parker High School Class of 1941, Lander University, and was a retired employee of Boren Clay Products.

Mrs. Brown was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where she served as clerk for 23 years and was a longtime Sunday school teacher.

Surviving:

Surviving are two sons, Lee Brown (Ren�) of Inman and Dean Brown (Cheryl) of Newport, North Carolina; one sister, Miriam Nicholson of Hendersonville, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Amanda Brown Heckert (Justin), Patrick Brown (Sarah), Austin Brown and Martin Brown; and one great-grandson, Anthony Brown.

Mrs. Brown was predeceased by two brothers, J.D. Poole, Jr. and Hubert Poole, and two sisters, Barbara Poole Watts and Rachel Poole Spain.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Holly Springs Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Tim Clark and Amanda Heckert.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Brown's grandchildren and their spouses.

Honorary escort will be the Forever Young Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be held 2:00-3:15 p.m. Thursday at the church.

The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Ren� Brown.
