Mary Elizabeth Turner Bennefield, 72, went to her heavenly home September 10, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Daughter of the late Preston "Will" and Fannie Collins Turner, she was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Her hobby of interior decorating became her business Heaven Sent as a self-employed decorator.

Surviving:

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Gary Bennefield; a son, Mark Bennefield (Stephanie); two daughters, Ashley Bennefield and Tammy Pressley; three grandchildren, Lindsey Bennefield, Matthew and Mackenzie Pressley; a sister, Ann Carol Smith (Jerry); two nieces, Melissa Bennefield and Mandy S. Justice (Jason); and one nephew, Lane Smith.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Drew Hines, Rev. Faye Penland, and Dr. Bob Atwell.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary.

The family would like to extend gratitude to Palmetto Hospice for their care and support during this journey.

The family is at the home of her son, Mark Bennefield.
