Mary Perrin Coxe, widow of William Burton Coxe, Jr., died May 21, 2014 at McCall Hospice House. She was born January 12, 1930 in Greenwood, S.C. Her parents were James Cothran Perrin and Eunice Macaulay Perrin.
Mary was a member of the Class of 1947 at Greenville High School and the Class of 1951 at Coker College. During the early years of the Republican Party in Greenville County and in Greer, she worked enthusiastically to support the ideals that were so important to her.
She was a member of the Nathaniel Greene Chapter of the DAR. She became a member of Greer First Presbyterian Church in 1956, where she taught the fifth grade Sunday School class for many years with her dear friend Caroline Davis.
She is survived by her four children, Perrin Coxe Kreidler of Greenville; Isabelle Coxe Mercado of Greer; William Burton Coxe, III of Greenville; and Neill Macaulay Coxe of Cumming, GA.
She is also survived by her brothers, Neill Macaulay Perrin and James Cothran Perrin, Jr., both of Greenville; six grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
A memorial service will be held at Greer First Presbyterian Church on Friday morning, May 23, at eleven o?clock.
The family will greet friends after the service in the Fellowship Hall.
The family suggests that memorials be made to McCall Hospice House, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, S.C. 29680 or the charity of one?s choice.
