Mrs. Carrie Lee Franks Mitchell Patterson, 83, of 152 North St., died Saturday March 24, 2012 in Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care, Spartanburg, SC.
Native of Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late James and Lizzie Hill Franks, a former housekeeper and a member of Christian Fellowship Bibleway Church in Greer.
"Granny" as she was affectionately called was first married to the late Fred Mitchell and to this union three children were born.
She was predeceased in death by four children, Willie James Dandy, Billy Mitchell, Minnie Bell Mitchell and Anna Mitchell.
Surviving:
a son, Freddie W. Mitchell; 5 daughters, Sennie Mae "Freddie" Davis, Lillie Bobo, Aratha Duncan, Kathleen Dandy and Dorothy Jean Erby; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services:
Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, March 29, 2012 in Christian Fellowship Bibleway Church in Greer, SC. with Rev. Calvin Galman and Pastor Bobby Cohen, officiating. Burial will follow in Moore's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at the home.
