Norma Lee Shafer Summerfield, 86, formerly of Cowpens, but recently of 123 Cromer Street, Roebuck, passed away February 10, 2017 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
A native of New, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Edna Redden Radford, a retired employee of Jackson Mills, and was attending Orchard Street Baptist Church in Mayo.
Surviving are two sons, Charles W. Shafer (Pam) of Lester, West Virginia and Paul Shafer (Rhoda) of West Palm Beach, Florida; four daughters, Sandra Moore of Boiling Springs, Brenda McKnight of Roebuck, and Rebecca I. Cantrell (Johnny) and Anita R. Shafer both of Inman; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchild.
She was also predeceased by her first husband, Wilson Shafer and her second husband, Dorsel Summerfield.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2017 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Pastor Jennings Putman.
Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. Monday at the mortuary prior to the service.
The family would like to thank the staff of Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for the loving care shown to Mrs. Summerfield.
