Phyllis Parker Stone of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 23, 2022, surrounded by her children.

Phyllis was born on July 11, 1940, to Harry A. and Virginia Smith Parker. She spent her childhood skiing on Lake Lanier and playing with her cousins in Greer, S.C.

An infamous beauty queen, Phyllis had the honor of being chosen 1961 Peach Queen for the state of South Carolina, followed by Miss Gaffney. She later studied at Limestone College, where she pursued a degree in the Arts.

Phyllis married Ronald Phillips Stone at Myers Park Methodist Church in Charlotte, N.C. They were blessed with four children, Chris, Cindy, Jennifer, and Anna.

Phyllis had a special relationship with her sister-in-law Anna B. Stone, and they loved spending summers at the beach together with their children.

Phyllis had a great love for porcelain rabbits, everything Christmas, Hallmark movies and her grandchildren. She considered her grandchildren her greatest joy.

Nonnie always made holidays special for the kids and was always down for a jump on the trampoline or a makeover.

Surviving:

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother Avery.

She is survived by her son, Chris Stone (Ansley) and her daughters, Cindy Westbrook (Brian), Jennifer Wallin, and Anna Stone. She will be forever cherished by her grandchildren, Parker Stone, Sara Stone and Ashley Westbrook. She also leaves behind much loved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Services:

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Mountain View Cemetery, Greer, S.C.
