Rev. Burl Hunter Ashley, 90, passed away August 19, 2016 at his home.

A native of Cramerton, NC, son of the late Ollie Clifton Ashley, Sr., and Pansy Bell Williams Ashley, he was a retired Baptist minister, a US WW II Navy Veteran and a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Nadine S. Ashley of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Neal Tingle of Travelers Rest; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis B. and Paula Ashley, Cumming, GA and Ronny E. and Tena Ashley of Taylors; two brothers, Ollie Clifton Ashley, Jr., of Aiken and Donald L. Ashely of Riverside, CA; one sister, Betty R. Dickert of Clinton; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2016 at Brushy Creek Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Ralph Carter and Mr. Bill Bishop.

Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Todd Ashley, Tal Ashley, Ashley Tingle, Nathan Tingle, Ron Ashley and Ryan Ashley.

Honorary escort will be the SOS Sunday school class.

Visitation will be held 12:00 ? 1:45 p.m. Monday at Brushy Creek Baptist Church.

The family is at the home.
