Roscoe William Woodruff

Roscoe Woodruff , son of the late Sam and Queen Bruton Woodruff was born in Spartanburg County, South Carolina on May 24, 1930.

He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a former employee of Cunningham Waters Construction Company.

At an early age he was united in holy matrimony to the former Willie Mae Davis. To this union eight children were born. After her untimely death, he married the former Mattie Powell.

On Sunday April 13, 2014 he answered the Masters call in Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, South Carolina.

Surviving:

The last survivor of his siblings, he was preceded in death by two sons; Jessie James Woodruff and Willie James Woodruff.

Left to cherish fond memories are: sons, Mack Agnew of Greenville, SC, Roger Lee Woodruff of the home, Verdell Woodruff of Greer, SC and Jimmy Woodruff of Atlanta, GA; 3 daughters, Elizabeth Woodruff of Greer, SC , Janie Hamilton and Dorothy Bivings of Taylors, SC; 3 stepsons, Robert Walker of Greenville, SC, Johnny Powell Jr. and Hardy Powell, both of Greer, SC; 3 step-daughters, Rose P. Blakely, Lois Henderson and Patricia Miller, all of Greer, SC; 18 grandchildren a host of great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
