Rose Evelyn Arledge, 88, widow of H. Pat Arledge, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020.

A native of Greer, daughter of the late Wofford and Allie Edwards, she was a retired employee of Textron, Inc., a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and known to everyone as "Sweet Rose" who has now gained her wings in Heaven.


Surviving are a son, Randy (Pat) Arledge of Seneca, SC; a daughter, Darla (JL) Mitchell of Greer; a granddaughter, Rachel (Nate) Bayne; four great-granddaughters, Bailey Hoyle, Peyton McCall, Mackenzie McCall and Avary McCall all of Easley; a great-grandson, James Spencer Mitchell of Mauldin; and a loving nephew, Shane (Tammy) Bryant.

Mrs. Arledge was predeceased by one sister, Shirley Edwards Bryant.

Funeral Services:

The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for all of their love and care for the past few months, especially to Nurse Chad and caregiver, Samantha. Also special thanks to Mary Grace Nelson with Alway Best Care for your love and sitting with our mom, and the many Bible verses you shared.

Also, a huge part of our family, Tameka Owens for all the years you faithfully, lovingly and unconditionally cared for our mother. Also to the many family members, friends and neighbors for their love and support.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel in Greer, conducted by Pastor Shane Hull, with webcasting. Burial will be private.

Families are at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Miracle Hill Ministries, 490 S. Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville, SC 29607 or Emmanuel Baptist Church, 423 S. Buncombe Road, Greer, SC 29651.
