Roy "Kemo" Timothy Sandlin, 66, died June 7, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late R.T. Sandlin and Janette Cox Sandlin Pace, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam, where he was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Army Commendation Medal, and Expert (Rifle).
Mr. Sandlin was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Frankie and Kathy Sandlin of Greer; two sisters and brother-in-law, Joyce Wofford of Greer and Rhonda Sandlin and Barry Carpenter of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He loved his nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Chrystal Jordan.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary.
The families are at their respective homes.
