Ruth DeShields Childs, 94, widow of Hansel Alvin Childs, formerly of Greer, SC died September 22, 2013.

A native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was a daughter of the late M. Greg and Ernestine McClimon DeShields, a retired employee of Lyman Printing and Finishing, and a member of Peoples Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are four sons, Wayne, David, and Franklin Bragg of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Ernest Bragg of Haw River, NC; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by a son, Patrick Childs.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wood Mortuary.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary prior to the service.
